In a bid to ignite the passion of young engineering enthusiasts and bolster their involvement in SAICE activities in the Western Cape, the SAICE FLP Cape Town Activation Drive proved to be a resounding success on Thursday, 23rd November.

This dynamic event brought together the SAICE WC Student Chapters from UCT, Stellenbosch University, and CPUT, along with young members, under the guidance of SAICE CEO Sekadi Phayane-Shakhane and FLP Chairperson Dlozi Mnisi. The focus of the gathering was the “Growing Forward Together” campaign, fostering collaboration and engagement among the emerging engineering professionals.

The informal setting provided the perfect environment for a free exchange of ideas, aiming to address and encourage active participation of young members in SAICE activities. The discussions were enriched with insights and encouragement from industry leaders, including Sekadi Phayane-Shakhane, Dlozi Mnisi, and the SAICE WC Chairperson for 2024, Saaligha Gool.
