Mr Mike Killick, the Director of Bulk Services at the City of Cape Town’s Water and Sanitation Directorate, presented the City’s progress on the New Water Programme on Wednesday, 22 February. The presentation, hosted at UCT, was attended by a mix of professionals, academics and civil engineering students.

OBITUARY

SAICE Western Cape is saddened to hear of the passing of Emeritus Professor George Ekama, who passed away at the age of 73 on Sunday 19 February.

He obtained his BSc degree, a postgraduate diploma and a PhD degree in Engineering, all from the University of Cape Town (UCT). From 1978, he worked as a Research Officer at UCT
