NATIONAL BRIDGE BUILDING COMPETITION
Relive the excitement of SAICE’s 31st annual National Bridge Building Competition, held on August 25, 2023. Thirteen schools from across the country vied for the prestigious Bridge Building trophy at the Tuscan Wedding and Conference Centre in Midrand, Gauteng. Explore the thrilling competition where Hoërskool Sarel Cilliers emerged as champions, achieving a remarkable strength-to-weight ratio. PATERSON AND COOKE LAB VISIT
SAICE Western Cape members explored Paterson and Cooke’s Slurry Test Facility on 20 September 2023. They were taken through seven different stations, where they learned about slurry classification, thickening processes, and chemical analysis. The tour provided an exclusive look at the technology and expertise that drove innovation in the mining industry. It was an eye-opening experience that showcased the behind-the-scenes workings of this cutting-edge facility.
